Well, the last time I saw it, was three weeks past.

Usually my LimeWire downloads around 20-40 KB perFILE no MATTER how many files I am downloading in it...but now it can only download 27 KB MAX...if I distribute it to 5 files, then the download count would be divided by five...

What's going on? Or was the download before just a fluke? And the real limewire download is like this?...can anybody tell me what to do to get that speed back? And can I get more than 8 hosts to download for each file? Cause even when there's 50 hosts, it says that it's only downloading from 8 hosts only...

Oh yeah, my internet's bandwidth is said to be 384 KB...anybody can help?

Thanks in advance,

This is a common problem with Limewire and many of the other file sharing networks.like Bearsare and Bearflicks etc..it is not Limewires problem, the problem lies with your internet provider. Your provider provides you the 384kb of bandwidth, but because Limewire users take up so much of the providers slots and for so long at a time, the providers have started to selectively 'throttle' this products rate in an effort to make you log out of it, and to give others on their network enough bandwidth to work.

IMPORTANT MUST READ WHOLE THING
(sorry if it doesn't quite make sense, this is a very common question and im just copying and pasteing)

cant answer that, but i would like to reminded you that if caught with illegally downloaded songs its $750 for each song before the company sues you(after its double) and that is just for the songs my friend, just imagine all the other stuff that you may download illegally such as entire movies(now that's what i call a pretty penny).

PS
if you find something on google video download it and change the last part of it from ".mp4"(movie) to ".m4a"(audio only) then using itunes and putting it in ACC format(cuts the size of the video to usualy a 1/3 or less than it originally was) i suppose that it's legal or at least your chances of getting caught are extremely low.
(note that you can't download directly from youtube.)

PPS
also less likely to be riddled with malware and spyware because it only goes through the 1 person who put on google.

Get rid of Limewire and Use ARES instead. The limewire and bearshare and others contain spyware anyways.

here is the download link to it

how long has it been since you've updated your network driver? - if it's been a while or you have never updated it before - you should try doing this first

another thing to try - is uninstall then reinstall (making sure you delete the limewire folder AFTER you do the "uninstall"
once that's all done - redownload then install the program
