this? And do you know the name of it so I can research it. I fell asleep with the tv on the other night and heard a man talking about it in my waking state early in the morning but didn't catch what it was called. I know he wrote a book about it too, but again, I don't even know his name, lol. Any ideas??? Thanks!

I'm not sure what you mean.

They might have been referring to Asperger's because that form of autism doesn't have the severe communication deficits common to other forms.

There are other mental disorders that are purely "social" in nature that aren't related to Autism such as the Avoidant, Schizoid and Schizotypal Personality Disorders. (Antisocial Personality DIsorder actually refers to criminal and manipulative traits, not the ability to socialize). Also there is Social Phobia which is also known as Social Anxiety Disorder. In some cases, it would be very difficult to tell the difference between Asperger's and Schizotypal Personality Disorder in an adult.

Yeah, everyone has it now Asperger's Syndrome is the latest great excuse for being anti-social. While there may be true cases, it has become far too popular lately.

fathead that's a terrible thing to say...asperger syndrome is a terrible disease and so is autism. it has become "too popular" today because we don't have any research on it and it is on the rise and medicine today can't fix it.
