The operation in question is very routine--I doubt there would be any complications involved with that that would show up 8 years after. Most likely there's another cause--i would take her to the vet, and fast! Any sign of blood isn't good! I really hope this works, I feel for you!

If your cat was spayed 8 years ago, most likely this has absolutely nothing to do with it. I would start being very diligent and finding the source. Is it urine or stool? Either way, you should not waste your time doing over the counter dewormers and such because you don't know what is going on. The best bet would be to take your cat to the vet, get her blood tested to see how her organs are working, get her stool tested to make sure she doesn't have any parasites and get her urine tested to make sure she doesn't have any infections.I am sure they will have a definete diagnosis for you if you do that.... and the sooner the better!

This likely has NOTHING to do with being spayed. Treat it as an emergency and have the vet check her over for problems. If it's one drop of blood, it can wait for a scheduled appointment, but if it's more than that, be there when they open the doors at the vets office and get her in.

Have you determined where the blood's coming from? Or have you just found it on the floor? If you haven't actually seen where the blood's coming from, then perhaps its just an injury. But if it IS actually coming from her urine or stool then you'd better get her to the vet. If, for example, she has a bladder infection that goes untreated, it can quickly develop into a lifetime problem.

Sounds like worms.. In most cases, a clear fluid and some blood will be present. Get a deworming tablet and administer. If the blood persists, take her to the vet.

So why don't you call the vet that gave her the operation? A phone call costs nothing. However, you probably will have to bring her in to be checked. Call the vet, please.
