I know a amount of persecution goes on against religious types, but look at this verse:

"If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you... because they do not know Him who sent Me"

That's Jesus talking, and Jesus was definitely persecuted.

Now then...

How many Christians do you know that lived like Jesus did, and follow his law to the letter?

Christians aren't persecuted because there's nothing to persecute, most Christians don't follow the bible as well as they should and an absolutely horrendous amount of them are hypocrites.

You've obviously never been to Sudan, Somalia or any number of Asian, Indonesian or Middle eastern countries. Persecution of Christians in those places is very real.

Are you just talking about Christians in America? We're not persecuted...just mocked a lot. We can live with it.

Not Epicurius: I'm not looking for sympathy...especially not from you. People who take a stand for something will always have to deal with boneheads like you...and we can.

I am a Christian and sadly I must admit there is much truth in your words. There is a great deal of persecution of Christians throughout the world and this is easily documented. However in the United States I feel you are correct.

Here is the scary thing. I think our time of safety and security to believe and practice as we want is nearing an end. I believe we will see persecution in the United States and fairly soon. :-(

I am an American!!!!!!

I have been fired from many jobs for preaching about Jesus even teaching jobs. I am plain spoken and do not fear what will happen.

I go against people and their beliefs and am far from being politically correct.

I have nerve damage in my right arm from an x girl friend throwing rocks at me for preaching against drugs to her.

I even got fired for talking bad about that sick Clinton. The worse so called immoral president we ever had and preaching against gays and his sick partial birth abortions. A baby half born, taking a drill and sucking the baby's brains out.

They follow the Devil. They go against God.

Against baby killing. Mothers sick enough to murder to murder their own babies and get away with it. There is no love there. Abortion is mothers murdering their own babies by another name. This is a fact.

Genesis the 19 chapter where God rained fire and brimstone down on gays.

Some Christians do preach the truth boldly. I am one of them.

But, I do not go out and start arguments to turn people against God. I just answer questions when asked.

I use to preach dogmatically. Then, I heard a saying which I do now:

I would rather see a sermon than hear one.

2 months ago I got called in for talking against gays in Thailand teaching there. It was great. I made a statement the whole school is still talking about.

I no longer there now.

maybe in america this is true....but in other countries, persecution is very real

in america, religious discrimination can still happen....it happened to me...i am grateful i lived through it...it was pretty awful.....just look at the hatred that is just on this site against christians.....then imagine a workplace full of hateful people and one christian.....the legal system helps a little, but things are hard to prove when you are outnumbered and everyone is lying.

Catholics are subjected to ridicule by other "Christians"who claim to know all about them.
