In my world view, there either "always was matter and energy" or there was a "zero point" where matter and energy started.

The view of there was always matter and energy would lead me to believe that there would be a beginning when the matter and energy formed into something
or
the zero point existence of matter and energy would be the beginning

currently I can't prove my belief

I believe it based on my expirience

perhaps mine is a religious belief, but it is non-theistic

Alpha and Omega = All and Nothing the Seen and Unseen Some people call it God but there are may names for this universal force, but I call it the Scorce.
The beginning was thought, in other words Scorce becoming self aware of all possibility's. Time/ Movement is the only thing that has a true beginning and thought is also movement ( energy moving from one point to another and then back again ). I could go into more detail bit ill be here all night.
The funny thing is everyone ends up being right in the end.

In "The Begining" is the reference to "recorded" consciousness; God being the first "known".

It is written that God also "searches" for more Gestalts such as the self, that which has not been found. The Gestalt of course being the collective awarness we call "God".

This goes back to an old saying "if the tree fell in the woods and there was nobody there, would it make a sound?

The saying of course was meant to stir the thinking process in regards to consciousness. In this case, what could have occured in the Universe if nobody was aware of it? This sums up awarness and creativity.

If One looks at "all of it", the known Universe, and elects to opine that "it all ame together" in such Grand Order, Alone and without creative influences; then one would agree the tree made no sound hitting the ground... such order within the Universe requires Law.

Science will say "Physics" and Spritual ones will cry "God". Both may finger point claiming truth, each not understanding in the true nature of reality, each is correct.

no one has the true answer as to the epoch of our existence or of life in this planet, the only theory in science is that we evolved from simple celled amoebas or organisms and through the process of evolution, we developed into the Homo-sapien that we are today, along with the rest of the living species we see aroud us. That's the scientific point of view. As for the bible, there are huge gaps in what we see today in evolution, there is no explanation of any historic records such as the existence of anything before the Jurassic period. There is no explanation of the fact that scientists have found factual evidence as to the link of human evolution such as fossil remains of the first Homo-habilis or the Homo-erectus, which has no resemblance to that of the Adam and Eve described in the bible. With that said, we can argue with the veracity of existence of a God or celestial Deity. Can one say then that God as we know, is younger than the earliest of us humans?? We don't know, but one thing lies for certain, that with every beginning, there is a inevitable end and in order to have an end, something must have a beginning. We just don't know what that beginning is....

In the beginning God was all there was because there was no time until the world was created. W/o time there can be no beginning or end. Read further in Revelations & He says I am the Alpha & Omega, the beginning & end. As long as He exists there is no ending. Just as there was nothing before Him. He just always IS. Only man needs time to understand events.
