If our Joy as Christians was not real and If our outlook on life wasn't real either I don't think you would have people trying to get others to become follower of Jesus

No harm meant, but you must be lacking something in your life if your greatest joy is believing in a myth with no substance and no evidence.

I don't need to be a christian to have the greatest joy..There are so many other things in life that give enormous joy to people.

I was raised in a Catholic School so don't think I don't know what your talking about.. but it's just like being "brainwashed" once you really think about it, none of it makes sense!

Would you want to be converted to Muslim beliefs? How about into slavery? Converting is slavery if you force it upon others. I am happy without going to church and being in a religion.
My greatest joy is my wife and children. When we were going through extremely hard times no friends, family ,or anyone came forward to help. We asked and were turned on.
Everything we have done is on our own and without the aid of religious beliefs.
I believe in God, but I cannot be like him. No one can. There isn't one human being that can claim to be Jesus like or God like in any way without lying about it.
I am a sinner. We were all born sinners. I do not need the hypocrisy of a church or a religion to add fuel to the existing fire I have. I am at peace with my family, in our home, away from humans. But my hatred for religions, especially Christians, runs very deep. I ask a serious question about Jesus, they persecute me, put me down, confuse me with some idiot Jehovah's Witness. They judge me. Everyday. They do it to my family. It angers me something fierce.
We don't want riches, fancy cars, homes, power. We want people to stop trying to force their crap on us. Jesus would not have tried this. You shouldn't either.
I am certain Jesus understands me, what has happened, even if you all don't or won't. Even if you refuse to. He knows I am not perfect. He knows I fight hard everyday and at times lose.
But I keep trying and I do it without pretending to be a Christian.

I'm sure it never occurred to you,
that most of us are quite happy with our own beliefs.
I am the 6th generation Pagan and am very proud of it.
I have ancestors who were attacked
and killed by people of the christian faith
&
I want no part of them.
I raised my children to know right from wrong
and weak from strong.
When they turned 12, I let them decide for themselves.
Thank the stars, that my 5 children had good clear
head on their shoulders and chose to follow in our family's tradition.
My children were allowed to attend any religious service of their choice.
My children were horrified by the atrocities that were committed in the name of religion by these same persons.
On the 31st of the month, we celebrate Samhaim.
We do not kill anything
&
it is most certainly not a Satanic Holiday.
I have friends who are Satanists
and their most important day,
is the day that they themselves were born.
So please, stop trying to convert us,
we are very happy in our beliefs.
Maybe, you should walk a mile or
two in our shoes and see exactly,
what we put up with from the religious zealots.

You're right.

On Samhain night, I'll be having a circle. Please do come by. I'm sure that I can show you how my religion is real, and that you needn't believe in some god that is out to destroy and torture for eternity most all of the people that ever lived on the planet.

Allow me to show you a religion of freedom and joy, one which offers learning and growth and peace and love for eternity FOR ALL PEOPLE, instead of just a smug chosen few!

Let me show you a faith that does not require begging for money from those who can't afford it.

Let me show you a faith that opens minds rather than closing them.

Let me show you a faith that has at least a modicum of evidence to support its teachings.

Let me show you the way to peace and happiness and love and tolerance.

Behold I stand at YOUR door and knock. I am not a god, but I can show you the way to find the deity who resides in you.

So, yeah, you're right I would love to share my greatest joy with you. Are you willing to listen? Aren't you just as anxious to hear my joy as you think I should be to hear yours?

Perhaps some of us are happy with our religions and simply are not interested in being converted. Sharing joy is one thing forcing your beliefs upon others is another thing all together.

I have a religion, and Im very happy and content with it. I do not wish to be converted. What right do you have telling me my religion is wrong and yours is better?

It is wrong to try to force your beliefs on others that is as simple as it comes. If we wanted to be Christians there are plenty of churchs we could go to and join. We don't need you shoving it down our throats.

Im a happy pagan/wiccan and I plan to stay that way.

A lot of us have plenty of exposure to Christianity, and don't want much more to do with it. Converting people is infringing on their right to not be converted. I know we don't have freedom 'from' religion, but we should. You may look at it as a joy, but we see it as a plague.

Just one problem with your goal,it is also the goal of the Muslims to convert the world. Seems to me that there will eventually be a very big clash. What's that, you say it is happening already?

I just plain wish people wouldn't share it by trying to convert the unwilling.
Your joy is my pain.
He was a great philospoher - I just cant stand all the crap that was said and done in his name.
Not even he would have tolerated it.
