So I am neither an atheist nor a theist, but I want to get your feedback on the following scenario. So evolutionists believe that through the progress of millions upon millions of years, we came into existence (and obviously without the help of a God). That means that intelligence can be created out of nothing, as long as long periods of time are given for it to be produced. So why couldn't evolution produce some all mighty- all knowing being as well?

Evolution produced us, beings who can create computers, drive vehicles, do mathematic calculations, and we keep advancing more and more.

Doesn't it make sense to say that through all the evolutions that make have occured in negative infinity (inifinity before out existence) some sort of God could have been produced via evolution?

Now take this scenario into account as well. Suppose beings like us were produced an infinite number of times in the past, and 99.9999% of life was eventually extinct. That is, intelligent beings were created and destroyed, and so on and so forth. Chances are at least ONE of those times the beings were immensely intelligent, intelligent enough to create universes (and beings like us). Suppose those are the people who might have created us...or maybe they had a war and only one came out winning. That would be the person you would call God. Of course, that is a completely different definiton of God than the one people usually perceive of. Just a thought...

STOP TELLING ME NOTHING CAN'T PRODUCE SOMETHING. IF YOU WANT TO TAKE THAT PREMISE AND SAY THAT GOD EXISTS, THEN YOU HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM BECAUSE YOU CAN'T EXPLAIN WHERE GOD CAME FROM.

Which would bring up the question, who "created" the beings that evolved into God.

Interesting thoughts though!

In the great and expansive process of evolution, theoretically it is possible to create a "God", or at least a being that has all the same abilities that we perceive that God has. Part of our evolution is the idea of what we actually are, i.e. what we made up of. This includes everything that we have been, are now, and will be in the future. Even the things that are so far in the future that we can not even imagine their existence are still part of the evolutionary process.
However, part of the conceptual aspect of God is that God can never really be understood (i.e. proven), and so therefore not really apart of our evolution; even if we could create or become a species with god-like characteristics. Part of the concept of God relies of faith (Belief without Proof). It is this aspect which separates beings with God-like characters and the being that is God. We can always theoretically prove that we could evolve into god-like species, but the concept of God requires that we can't prove it. We must choose to believe in a God on Faith.

Everyone is either an atheist or theist. It's impossible to be in a position outside of believing or not believing in god(s).

"Evolutionists" have to pre-suppose there is no god in science. This doesn't rule out that there was a god who created evolution.

Evolution has NOTHING to do with intelligence being created out of nothing.

Since evolution is not a perfect process, and god is often thought as a perfect being, then evolution cannot create a god. Especially since it has SPECIES evolve - not a single being. That, and most people say that a god created evolution, not the other way around.

Sorry, I got tired of reading, but I wanted to address a few minor, yet very common errors. Evolution takes no stance on any god. The theory does not say "goddidit", "goddidn'tdoit", or "godguidedit". Evolution does not say intelligence came from nothing. Evolution deals with what happened after we had *something*.

The God we know evolved from what other God? Where, how, by whom did that God evolve from and the one before that, and the one before that...? The other highly sophisticated people you speak of would have had to be extremely powerful, extremely intelligent, etc. Where are they now? Could they not have prevented their own demise? Why have we never heard anything about them? We have no evidence of such beings. I think these beings are Si-Fi.

ex-nihil nihil fit... out of nothing comes nothing. a scientific fact if you start with nothing you will end up with nothing... Also God transcends creation. He is eternal and is self existent. Another fact of reason is that for every effect there is a precedent cause. God is the first cause. Reason *does not* say every cause has a precedent cause. The fact that there are things that exist now proves the fact that the has to be a self existing powerful first cause. that is God. He is the creator everything else is created.
BTW science says that if you put matter, gas or whatever in a box you it will never organize itself into a computer ipod or whatever. it is impossible for unorganized mass to organize itself no matter how long you wait. evolution is a blind faith. man creates this fantacy in order to get rid of God who is the judge so that man is now free to do what ever he wants without any type of judgement or wrath. It is very important for man to do so... hence atheism/evolution

It has. The Cargo Cult in the South Pacific reveres Prince Philip as a god.

It is possible. They would not be considered gods. Just beings who created a universe using scientific means.

if an infinite number of anythings were produced.. using a faulty template. there would be an infinite number of faulty copies.

to imagine that eventually there will be a miracle occur anyway and out comes a perfect copy.

is an example of insanity.

You are getting the picture. Jesus has said follow me and do as I do and you will have all that the father has. The father is God so we may become like him in the end. Now as we will live forever Jesus has never told us how long it will take to become like God. For one I know we are yet a long ways away from being like God so I bet it takes us a long time.
