only approximately six thousand years ago if we, as humans, have been around for hundreds of thousands of years? Does that mean that the existence of the people that lived before this small fraction of an era was pointless?

Nope, they just didn't have intelligence enough to record it in words. The revelation comes in God's time and gradually. Thier lives were not pointless, God's providence and love reaches everyone throughout the ages. Not everybody who hasn't heard of Christ is doomed, God judges acording to the contents of your conscience, but...If you have heard the ggod news of Christ and rejected them, that's a different ticket...you can't plead ignorance no more.
God bless

The Bible is God's word to inform us that He is the One responsible for our existence and the creation of the heavens and the earth and all the things in them. God want us to know who we are and what our purpose is and why we die. Also to reveal His plan of salvation for those remaining faithful to Him. With instructions and examples, He guilds us through life in this fallen world, till the day that He has promised to make all things new.

The knowledge of People living before Adam & Eve, or more than 6,000 years ago, is just the ever changing word of men. But the Word of God endures forever.

God gave us the Bible so we could read and understand what He wants for us, and how much He loves us and wants to have a relationship with us...He also wanted us to have councel and instructions that we need to know the way He wants us to live for Him!! There are so many things that the devil wants you to believe about the Bible so of course there are some who ignore and don't believe in the Bible, or the Lord! Satan has won the hearts of many, unfortunately!

Not this chick!!! I'm with God all the way!!!!!

No, and I'm amazed that no one answered this properly.

1Pe 3:18-20
18. For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;
19. in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison,
20. who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water.

God choose to reveal Himself to man. not only through the majesty of creation but a special revelation on the specifics of His character. And his plan to save man from sin, so that man and God could be reconciled to each other. It is a mind blowing thought that almight God desires to have a relationship with insignificant man. God is glorified in revealing part of His merciful gracious character. God has shown this part of Him in Christ.

In their relationship to us, it is apparently pointless. Whatever lived on the Earth before Adam is not really anything that we have to live by as doctrinal issues are concerned. God gave us the Bible so that we can learn to trust Him.

Was there anyone before the bible? Wasn't the world created by God 6 thousand years ago?
This is the argument I have heard on this, that's why I dont believe in this stuff.
Was it God that gave us the bible? Or man?

The earth is only about 6,000 years old. The Bible actually wasn't compiled until much later than you say, but until then it was still being written.

Dude, science doesn't exist. It's a lie from satan. Humans weren't around before the bible. You're being tricked by scientists possessed by the devil

It probably took him hundreds of thousands of years to think the story through and then inspire people to write it (LOL)
