Evangelicals have some fantasy that the nation of Israel is somehow bound together with the rapture and second coming of Jesus. After 2000 years, it seems like they'd get the idea they've been stood up.

I wonder what they'll say when Israel is nuked in 15 years and disappears--and the rapture still doesn't come. Delusions die hard.

Israel is a very very US friendly nation in the middle of an area of potential enemies and gvts that openly call for our deaths.

I think it is vital to our national security that we stay very close allies with Israel
If we hadnt been Hussein would have had nukes. It was Israel, with technology given and helped develop by the US, that took out Husseins nuclear weapons program long before the gulf war.

As an American, I am certainly not willing to give up my life for Israel, or any other foreign country. I have no allegiance to any foreign country.

Why a Christian would feel obligated to sacrifice for a secular state is beyone me.

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for the welfare of all its inhabitants. They shall prosper that love thee." (Psalm 122:6)

Israels falling away from God was in order for Gentiles to gain salvation. They are a tiny country, that is surrounded by enemies. No one else stands up for the Jews, and they are condemned for their self defense. Once God has reaped the fruits of the Gentiles, he will again focus on Israel and comfirm his promise to them.

...Israel is the most sought out piece of real estate on the Planet... why...? God gave it to the Hebrew Nation and that "pissed-off" all the false Prophets who wanted it for themselves... Tray as "they" will... Israel and Jerusalem will always be for the Hebrew Tribes.... "thus sayith the Lord". The Promise of God was given to Abraham, not Ishmael.

We don't "give up our lives" for anyone. We fight to oppose evil. Israel is an ally. We defend our allies and oppose those who would kill them.

American soldiers, regardless of their religious beliefs or lack of religious beliefs are good and honorable people. It does not matter what religion, race or color our allies may be.

Are you an American, dear one? If so, do you feel America shouldn't be standing with Israel?

I believe we SHOULD stand with Israel because Israel is God's chosen. When we no longer stand with her, America will collapse.

Read God's Word. God bless!
