Is that bad or too strong for a cat just even one minor spray? She started licking forever and probably making a lot of silva and drooling, maybe a little foaming. hahah, poor cat, it looked so funny. she ran away under the bed. what we should do is take the cat in for a dental cleaning or get a special treatment at pets mark. however, the doctor veterinarian said the cats teeth were ok condition.

hehe, sorry, no intention to harm the cat. won't do it again. i mean if this is repeated ofcourse it could be really harmful. I will look into getting something for that cats mouth for the time being. it will be almost impossible for me to try to clean her teeth i think, cats have to get used to that, my mom would have it easier as she is more used to her presence. i will stop by petsmark.

Listerine has Ethanol. Ethanol is an immune suppressant and carcinogen is swallowed. Cats don't know to spit it out.
Therefore, yes... that's bad. Stupid and mean. Yeah. One small spray won't hurt... but don't do it on ANY kind of regular basis, and don't do anymore than one VERY SMALL spray (better yet... don't do it at all).
Also, in case you decide to try other douchebag-esque mock dental treatments... don't give her anything with Flouride. It's probably even worse than Ethanol if swallowed.

Some people who can't afford or cant get booze will drink Listerine because of its high alcohol content. If they do this for a while it burns their stomach. If they drink too much too fast they can die. A human stomach is a lot larger than a cats. One minor spray could damage her. That's not even mentioning that cats and dogs can't eat all the same things as us and can get poisoned by some things which may be in Listerine.

Listerine is not a good thing. It contains alcohol which can cause health problems, and possibly even kill the cat. You could have killed her. You need to take your cat to the vet to get it checked out to make sure you didn't hurt her with the listerine spray.
Next time use a pet safe mouth product that you can buy in any pet store.

Don't do it again, the alcohol and other ingredients in Listerine are toxic to cats! You can buy special cat toothpaste and little toothbrushes at the pet store, but if the cat has bad breath,I would have it checked out at the vet again.

The cat is fine, stop tormenting her! LOL!!
If the vet said her teeth are fine, you can wait on the dental, but it's always a good idea to brush their teeth at least once a week.
There are enzyme cleaners for cats that taste good. Get them at pet stores.

hahaha poor cat is right. maybe you should consider giving the cat to someone that takes care of their pet rather than spraying toxic chemicals at them.

No offense here, but I think what you did was rather stupid. You should ask your vet what kind of dental stuff you should put in your cat's mouth. What if it died of poisoning? You are to blame for that.

I don't think you did it to hurt your cat, but i do think it was sort of ignorant. Have you ever heard of people on the streets that drink listerine and get bommed? Maybe that's why she had some drooling going on!! LOL!!

Why would you do that? If she needs her teeth brushed, there are cat products or baking soda that you can use that are safe for cats.
