burning of the bosum means when a mormon test truth by their own subjective means(their feelings) rather than testing truth by objective means(Gods word- the bible)... Our feelings do not decide truth. we all have different feelings. One should not rely on their own feelings to decide truth because man is fallible and makes mistakes. how could my feeling mean something is true when someone else feels differently. who's feelings are right?
