Is it 'UnAmerican' to agree with him?

Interesting question. I disagree with almost everything President Bush does or says.
I wonder, though, why the Dixie Chicks (a country group) were given such a hard time for speaking out against him on the war. To this day it is still hard to find a local country radio station that will even play their music.
If its not unAmerican to disagree with the President, shouldn't we accept that what the Dixie Chicks said was their opinion and still allow them to play their music? Their music is not political for the most part, so I have been confused why they have been treated so unfairly.
Thank goodness President Bush can't run again. Just wish we had better candidates to vote for in the coming election.

It is not un-American to disagree with president Bush because one most people do disagree with him and that would mean literally over half the "Americans" are un-American. Second when the goverment does not reflect or satsify the people's sentiments then the people have a right to disagree peacefully. We are in a democracy where we can elect our officials and so if we are not satified with something we can opt to do something else. We as Americans should almost at all times in part be aware for mistakes and should hold the people we elect to the highest standards. I do think sometimes people cross the line when criticizing the president. The fact is that the president is still human and as a human makes mistakes in this case he makes more than usual.

No, but there is a difference between disagreeing with the president and being insulting and disrepectful.
When the Dixie Chicks said they were embarrassed to be Americans, that was unAmerican.
I do not always agree with President Bush, nor did I always agree with President Clinton. However, I never stated that either man was not my president.
It does make a person unAmerican to listen to people like the Dixie Chicks, Larry Flynt, Alec Baldwin, or Keith Olberman; it just make one stupid.

Definately not !!!!!!!!! President Bush is by far the most deceitful man to be president in my lifetime . First , he came to be president under totally wrong circumstances . Then he started a war in Iraq under totally false circumstances . This man has lied and flip flopped on almost every major decision he has made . At least when Bill Clinton lied it was only about his personal life , not something that was going to put our country in debt and take so many American lives . I think that it is unAmerican not to disagree with his lies .

Not unamerican at all to disagree with (P)resident Bush.
People need to understand that there is a difference between government and country. Just because a person may hate their government does not mean that they hate their country.
Besides that, Bush is no saint, so people SHOULD disagree with him.

As a non-American outsider (European) it always intrigues me to see how some Americans think it is an unpardonable sin to criticise or disagree with the President solely because he is the President. It's just like if someone told you to jump over a cliff, would you do it? No, because you have your own judgement (well, hopefully!) too.
Surely that's democracy, not having to agree with the party in power all the time? A bit of discord here and there from time to time can make for a healthy, useful debate, no?

It is very American to disagree as many Americans have said to disagree is a very American trait. It is one in other countries as well in France a person could disagree with Sarkozy and still be French. Canadians can disagree with Stephen Harper and remain Canadians. British citizens can disagree with The European Union and remain British. British citizens can still remain British and be part of The European Union.Do not see Corsica mentioned anywhere though would wonder if it will remain Corsica or if it will join The European Union.

As for the Dixie Twits, I express my own Americanism by boycotting them and any radio station that plays them. What I think is funny is when all the morons start saying it's un-American to slam them for their opinion. Bit hypocritical isn't it?
As for disagreeing with the president, go ahead as a citizen we have that right.

it is not unamerican,in our country we have three presidents and i disagree with all of them because they are supitd assholes...i love my country and they will only ruin it brcause they do not care for it or the people
