I am just wondering if there are any portable microwaves that you can use on the go. I really wish they are but I have yet to find one. If there are none out there, what limits the reduction of the microwave?

An oven is supposed to warm up a sizable amount of food in a reasonable amount of time. This basically requires hundreds of Watts of power (larger ovens have over a kW). If you make the device any smaller than that, the heat will dissipate faster from the food than it can be supplied by the device. The result would be cold food and pretty cold sales.

I remember seeing one that claimed to work from a cigarette lighter and could be taken camping. I think it was Coleman made it.
As far as what limits the size, it's mostly the fact that the magnetron used in microwave ovens is fairly large and heavy. WWhy not use a solid-state device? They haven't developed one yet that will produce several hundred watts of power and be sufficiently low-priced.
