Simply take a jump drive, external hard drive, etc…hook it up to the USB port on the front and then you--
Goto to view under music, or video, or photos, scroll down to the drive you've hooked up hover over it then push Triangle(notX) then select display all (view all)(press X) and it will show everything on the jump drive or external harddrive. Then either listen to or view the music, video, photos or copy to the ps3 hard drive directly.
If you have a psp you can also use that to move files from pc to ps3.
Check http://us.playstation.com for a list of video files it's supports, make sure you check the update/ info because they have added some formats.

i can declare wmv and mpeg for optimistic, yet it would look that how previous those records are performs a function. i'm downloading all records i desire to maintain onto a storage gadget then burning them onto a dvd to play on my ps3, seems to artwork so some distance, that secure asf records and anythinging i've got tried so some distance. in basic terms takes for ever.
