Cloning the disk doesn't matter, you will still need to legally activate your copy once it's installed. If you clone the drive that Vista is installed on, you may be able to copy it to the system drive of another computer - but unless that system is very similar to the other, you will need to re-activate. You will get a notice saying something to the effect of, "You must re-activate this system due to significant hardware changes."

Yes, the OEM BIOS emulation cracks work wonders... until you attempt to install any updates - including driver updates, which most people consider to be a necessity. Then you will experience the dreaded BSOD until you want to rip your hair out. They are a pain in the *** and not worth the time it takes to download them.

The only reason I have experience in this area is because my LEGAL copy of Vista Ultimate would not re-activate after a re-install - even though MS support told me I wouldn't have an issue.

sure it incredibly is. Microsoft were copying Apple considering the fact that living house windows 3.one million version of their oprating gadget. the lack of ability of originality i assume comes from the reality that they've a lazy utility builders who're consistent with a great industry-share Microsoft carry so they dont worry too lots to enhance an unique and the conventional product. Sysytem is "replica what you are able to and launch it ASAP to get the money". yet issues are approximately to alter as further and further persons and the agencies are switching from Microsoft structures to the two Linux or Mac OS X.

NO, you have a retail edition(most likely) and the key is not going to let you install it on more than one machine.
