Not at all. Just another black who refuses to submit to lawful police commands. She reminded me of the dogs Cesar faces on "The Dog Whisperer." She had to learn to assume a calm, submissive posture.

And, he did not "punch her in the mouth." He reacted to her biting him by striking her--seemed instinctive and a mild blow considering the provocation. Just another "don't taze me bro" incident from an out of control kid.

I agree with all of the other posts. The only abuse here is what the girl did to the officer. The officer could of legally used more force earlier on. I thought he showed a lot of patience and professionalism. If that officer happens to read this question which he probably won't. But I give two thumbs up to him. Good job, and stay safe.

Ohhh yeah. And the video? Gees isn't it obvious they are trying to influence people a certain way? How about just showing the video and letting people make their own judgment, stop pushing your views down other peoples throat.

Abuse? Certainly not. Unbelievable restraint? Most certainly.

How many times did he tell her to put her hands behind her back? He took no extra action against her until she bit him. Do you know where her mouth has been? Do you know she doesn't have AIDS?

Did you notice she had her bag the whole time? Do you know she did not have a gun or knife in there? I think the officer demonstrated extreme restraint. I would have taken two steps back and put 4 or 5 .40 cal rounds into her.

Why is it always the cop? There is never any thought that the citizen should have just relaxed and obeyed the officer. For some reason no one ever considers the danger the officer is in during a situation like this.

She is lucky she isn't dead and maybe she will think about whatever it is she did to have the officer need to take her into custody.

Well let me think, I heard him say at least three times that he did not want to use force on her. And one time saying that he did not want to spray her. But would if he had to. So merely writing this officer off as a bad cop would prove to be difficult. And with the punch, he did not do that until the second time she tried to bite him. Human bites are some of the worse that can be inflicted, not to mention can transfer AIDS, all kinds of Hepatitus and a great many other diseases. And it escalates the use of force to the point where he can use strikes and whatever else he deems necessary to arrest her. She could have bitten through a tendon and ruined the rest of the mans life. I have no problem with the use of force the officer had to use.
Now for her, it is a curfew violation. You get taken to a holding cell and your parents are called. She should have not resisted and nothing would have happened to her. Sorry

i've got examine some articles on it and that i think of it would desire to of been a pretend impact, yet he grew to become into mentally unwell, and that they shot 20 situations. i discover that ridiculous and that i discover it to be an abuse of ability. i'd in basic terms like to appreciate why they had to apply a gun. i assume i can't incredibly say something concrete till greater of the story is outlined. i will declare that the NYPD should be certain why maximum of those shootings take place in the "city" communities. i'm not asserting that the NYPD is racist considering the fact which you have law enforcement officers of all pores and skin tones going loopy, in basic terms that they've their very own stereotypes and assumptions that they'd desire to recover from, as an entire. as quickly as you grow to be a police officer (NYPD), this is such as you change blue (NYPD uniform colour) and that they've their very own little code. this is as though unarmed shootings are a commonly happening component, and that they commonly get off. this is incredibly unhappy, considering the fact which you have little ones going around scared whilst they see a police officer because of the fact they think of that they'll finally end up getting shot, and the communities are heated because of the fact stuff like this keeps to take place.

I laughed for most of this. Then she just got annoying. That officer showed amazing restraint as she was resisting enough for conviction about 15 seconds into the video. Most officers would have done her a service and wrapped her up like a Christmas present rather than allow her to embarrass herself for as long as she did in front of the camera.

Lets boil this down to the root problem. It is not her race. It is not her sex. It is not her parents fault. She made a poor decision to fight the authorities holding her accountable for her actions. Plain an simple.

Don't bite a cop and you won't get hurt. Police officer was beyond patient with this nasty brat. If her parents had thumped her when she needed it, maybe she wouldn't be so out of control. She needs to own her problem and apologize to the cop and accept her punishment from the court. Michael Vick may want to see her fight later.

Nope. She fought him for a good two minutes, while the whole time he was giving her verbal commands to stop resisting. He also advised her he would use force if necessary. If she had of bitten me, should would have eaten pavement fast, quick, and in a hurry....15 year old girl or not.

First, the clip is doctored so that it repeats certain actions over and over again.

Second, come on, the officer told her many times to put her hands behind her back.

The only "abuse" of power I see is the abuse of doctoring up a video clip and attempting to sell it as fact... then again, it IS youtube, afterall.. this same source offers you the video of the dog that can't stop licking his nose..

I've seen a slew of police power-trip videos lately, but I don't think this is one of them.

The girl is being ridiculously uncooperative, yelling and screaming while the officer is just trying to cuff her. Then she BITES him. What the...? If she cooperated a bit she would have been fine. The race card doesn't hold water here.
