I am a rather new coffee drinker. I have noticed that when I drink it, I do feel much happier and energetic and from what I've been reading - those are general "symptoms" . I only drink like a glass a day or maybe an espresso. Will I become chemically addicted to it even so? How much consumption brings about actual addiction? thanks

I drank coffee in the morning only once a day, and got addicted. I first started drinking it when that Starbuck's place came around and I couldn't resist the falovrs...
Your body does get addicted to the caffeine if you regularly drink it over a long period of time. Sometimes it's psychological too. It's like I wonder why the heck I'm drinking the coffee, especially when I don't feel like it, but I drink it anyways because I'm worried about a headache or being tired.

There are countless issues you are able to nicely be addicted too, as nicely the caffiene. in case you get issues once you have not have been given the drink, you do have an actual habit to the Caffiene. If not, you have greater of an habit to the excitement of the drink itself. Or the the sugar intense. Or the fizziness. Or the ice-chilly fresh feeling. I particularly think of that in case you do not 'want' the coke till mid to previous due afternoon, this is probable not a actual addition. i think the previous adage "each and every thing sparsely!" applies right here, in case you desire to decrease down or do away with the habit: in case you have been 'addicted' to potato chips, as an occasion, you will decrease down by skill of procuring guy or woman length small packets rather of the relatives length... to chop back temptation. it incredibly is greater durable to do with a bottle or can of a beverage, considering the fact which you tend to drink all of it. So i'd recommend you progressively decrease the glass length, till you're right down to a juice glass. Pour the cola, recap the bottle and positioned it in the refrigerator. Take the glass of soda to a various room... greater effective yet, exterior... so it is not straightforward to fill up. (by skill of time you get down the juice glass, it could not look nicely well worth the attempt! LOL) for my area, i'd stay away from man made sweetners, as nicely. club soda is an ok replace - no sugar or caffeine, and you additionally could make a good drink with some club soda and your well-liked fruit juice. solid success!

Yes, it is possible to become addicted to caffeine. I've never heard a particular consumption amount that guarantees addiction, but you can prevent addiction by not consuming it. I'd say get sleep and exercise and live a healthy life and you'll do much better. As a leader of my church said, stimulants are to the body what the lash is to the horse.

You should not become addicted to it on the caffeine you are currently ingesting, Even if you did, it takes 3 days of no caffeine to get off caffeine...and the only real side effect is a headache and being crabby for about 3 days. I quit all caffeine a year ago after starting my days with 2 16oz cups every morning for probably 30 yrs. I was afraid it was gonna be terrible and it was a piece of cake. After I quit they decided that it doesn't leach calcium from bones....but I already have the beginnings of osteoporosis so I just stopped drinking it and sodas too. I live on Crystal lite now......it took about 3 days to get used to that too.

That depends a lot on the person. Physical addiction is not terribly strong. Most people will simply get a pretty big headache if they try to quit. Addiction to caffeine is much more of a mental thing, and it completely depends on the person.

Some people need their fix every day or they want to rip their hair out, others can have it one week and then not the next and be fine.

It depends on how you react to caffeine.

Hm.. Coffee actually mellows me.. I do like it, But I only drink it once or twice a month.
I don't find anything addicting, strangely. :\

Sure, You CAN get chemically addicted to caffine.

-Try a fresh glass of juice, or a smoothie in the morning. [:
It's healthy, It's tasty, And it'll make you happy knowing you won't get "Chemically Addicted" !

No, you won't. The jury is still out on whether one cup a day is really so bad for you after all. Coffee contains a fair amount of antioxidants, which is a good thing, then others see it as a crutch. It's all about moderation, as with most things.
