ive know this guy for a while now , we had a really great connection but unfortunately he has had a gf for about 4 years. I told him nothing could ever go on with us because i dont mess with people who are taken. Ive just been out of town for 8 weeks when i came back my inbox was flooded with emails from him , he sent me an email just about everyday saying he misses me etc. He also says he wants to marry me he loves me more than anything and thinks were going to be together forever. He knows hes not going to get anywhere sexually with me and he also knows im not silly and am not waiting around thinking were going to be together. So why does he bother with this?. He calls me a lot as well and sends messages to my phone , hes even given me gifts ( which i sent back). why is he doing all this? he even stays home some nights to see if im online.

If it were me - I would cut connections with this guy immediately. Not only is he a cheater, but he may be dangerous. Whether you realize it or not, you are being stalked. This man is obsessed with you and it worries me that his stalking will progress to actual physically trailing you instead of using the internet, phone, etc....... If you've made it clear to him that you're not interested in an intimate relationship, he should respect your wishes and leave you alone. In every sense of the word, he's a predator and although his methods of keeping in contact are still in the annoying but safe range, this could change at any time. But keep one thing in mind - if you continue to be friends with him, you may be giving him 'mixed messages'. My suggestion would be to cut it off with him completely, and if he continues to bother you, file a complaint with your local police department. You may not think he's dangerous,and that's exactly why he MIGHT BE. Keep yourself safe and get rid of him. If he persists, change your email address and your phone numbers and don't aknowledge his calls. And for a few months after you do - be careful not to leave yourself in a vunerable position.

He sounds like a stalker. you never mentioned that he said he broke up with his girl friend so I assume that he didn't and wants you as well - or perhaps he thinks that he is not going to break up with her until he gets something going with you. Keep track of all the things that he does like this - keep the voice messages he leaves on your phone and any IM messages that he sends and warn him that if he doesn't stop you are going to have to get a restraining order against him and if that doesn't help, get one.

wow, it sounds really really scary. maybe he's not used to being single so he want a girlfriend to keep him company? forget him...i mean, look at him being obessed with you so he's not worth your time.
