Do all airlines let you take a laptop and a carry on bag with you on the plane? This summer I could when I went on Continental Airlines but this Friday I'm going to Minnesota and I dont know what airline we're going on (I'm 15 by the way, and I'm going with my mother who I dont live with or go on trips with and I dont like to ask her questions). Also, does the laptop have to be in an actual laptop case? I kind of want to put it in my backpack so that I have less to carry. Thanks in advance to all who answer.

hi adri , i travel the asia route quite often , and i guess it is very common to have a lap top , and i am sure all airlines allow them as hand baggage , and yes you can put it in your knapsack , just tell them at customs going on to the plane that you have one and put it thro the scanner, they will look after you, have a god trip , and change some money at the airport into us dollars , so you will have some money for cabs etc good luck - you have a nice trip angel - and take care -- regards tommy

Yes, you can carry with you. you can put on whatever you like, and take out before security screen. Be sure only one carry on baggage less than 21 inch and one backpack size.

Yes... you just have to tell that your lap top is in your backpack!
