When your cat does something bad say NO and tap it's nose. After a week it should work. Spraying your cat seems wrong to me.

Well, you can always yell at your cat or maybe lock it in another room away from the family so your cat gets the point that your not fooling around. That's what i do. Your cat usually gets upset if it is searated from you and cannot get out. Cats are very indepedent and don't like to be held back from places or from doing something. After you do this, it will teach your cat that it can't do the things it wants to do when it behaves badly.

Hard to answer without knowing what the bad behavior is. Clawing furniture, spraying, etc. Need more info.

Canned air (like they sell for cleaning out the dust from your computer) works really well. But dont spray it directly on them since its really really cold. Even from way across the room the sound makes them really jump
Also try hissing at them. They cant really hear the word no but they can hear a hiss.

Same as with kids. Positive reinforcement for good behavior, a time-out for bad behavior. When my cats were younger I use to give them a "time-out" in their carrier. I would immediately say their name and then say "cage". At first I had to nudge them in, but they got the idea. It did not deter them from going in the carrier for other reasons. When I had a kitchen fire and had to get them out of the house quick, I told them "cage" and they got right in! They also get to go outside in their carriers to enjoy the weather, so they have positive experiences in them also. Good luck.

The way cats tell each other no is by tapping the other cat on the head with a paw or grabbing it by the scruff of the neck. Saying no firmly and in a low, descending tone will also convey your displeasure with the unwanted behavior.

My cat actually got used to the water bottle. I started using a can with some pennies in it and it worked WONDERS!
What are you trying to accomplish with the water bottle? Additional info might be able to let us give you some more solutions.

I spray-bottled trained my cats and now whenever they see the bottle they freak out. It's very effective. Stick with it.
