um yeah...it's bad. it's prescribed in pill form because you are supposed to swallow it. you should talk to your psychiatrist and see if you need a med adjustment if you are feeling very depressed.

Hi. I am bipolar and have been through the same thing so please don't feel preached at :) Give up the marijuana and ask for an effective and proven mood stabilizer such as lithium. Seroquel has only been approved by the FDA for treating bipolar depression. It has not been proven to treat bipolar mania. The feelings of anger and hostility you describe, the strong sexuality, the substance use and impulsivity are all symptoms of mania so you need a mood stabilizer that will prevent mania. Make sure you are seeing a psychiatrist who is expert in bipolar. Ordinary doctors and most shrinks don't know enough about bipolar and the differences between the diferent meds so please make sure you get treated by someone who really knows bipolar.

Please tell me that you're kidding!!! Why would you take your medicine that way?? There is a reason that medication is made the way that it is. IF it's a capsule it made to dissolve in your stomach slowly so that it's released slowly so that it stays in your system longer. IF you don't take the medication the way that it's meant to be taken it won't work for you the way that it's meant to.It could also cause other problems. You really need to think about what you're doing and why you're doing it. If you continue to feel very depressed you might need a rise in the dosage rather than taking in incorrectly.

it was neccessary??
i'm sorry, have you ever read the pill bottle?
if you crush it up and snort it, you're not only bipolar
you're also stupid.
haven't you ever thought about it you crushed it
you'll be leaving parts of the drug out
and you won't be receiving the full dose??
..and if iwas only half you took
well dur, now wonder why you feel depressed
you haven't taken the full amount!
and when you dont
your cycle gets worse.

If your meds aren't working well enough, call you psychiatrist for an appt NOW and get a med adjustment. Snorting your meds isn't going to gain you anything except a pain in the nose, but it may screw your moods up.

Yes, it's bad to snort your bipolar medicine. As a general rule, it's bad to snort anything. Please stop doing this. Your boyfriend has a point.

it's bad to snort anything that's not meant to be snorted (and some things that are)... either way it's called drug abuse and it won't help anything
