Flip Flops/Sandals! You may never know in what you can tread in. Except in Bali at "The Grand Hyatt" where everything is super expensive but clean! I like walking on the CLEAN stony paths barefoot!

I often walk barefoot in hotels and hostels, I have skin, that keeps most bacteria and germs from entering my system.
I do wear sandals or flip-flops often too, but that is to keep my feet clean. (And I wear them when I have wounds or wet skin, which is not so resistant to attacks.)

I always bring flip flops. I worked in a hotel for 6 years-take my advise... Also!! never sit on the bedspread, always remove it, because they are rarely washed....

socks if im in it
too many germy germs
