It basically means "How do you like that?" or "How about that?" After someone does something difficult or something that they were told they could not do, they might say that.

This is a wierd saying. I use it when somoene gives someone a stern talking to, or is mean to someone.

For exampe:

Hayley: Christi you are such a no good bimbo!
Christi: Hayley, leave me alone!
Hayley: yea okay you think im going to leave you alone, u betta get out of my my school!
Christi: "runs off crying"
Hayley: How bout them apples

Its basically saying...I said something mean to you, get over it

It's an idiom that expresses surprise or shock at something that has happened. It can also be used to boast about something you have done.

Hi,

my father used to say it all the time.

It means, "how about that" or "Isn't that something" or "how do you like that?" or "isn't that cool?"

Hopefully you get the general idea.

REgards,
Chas.
