I used to see hope in intelligence but not anymore.
I also used to look for it in the human heart but it's hard to find there also.

Where else can hope possibly hide?

The bottom of a bottle of beer duy! There is some of that lack of intelligence you have been talking so much about, lol.

Right now for me hope lies in an adventure I am hoping to go on. For me this adventure could mean making a ton of money, world travel, and the chance to do a real selfless thing and make a positive difference in the world. So that is where I am looking for hope. I'm looking for it in the places that need hope the most.

Outside of religion hope can be found in nature, doing for others, love, the arts, living animals, children. All of these are parts of religion that can be enjoyed and give hope to a person.

Hospitals in recovery wards? In schools where minds learn everything is possible?
Drug and alcohol recovery places? AA meetings?
Whenever a person stops and leaves the room/house before hurting someone - and calms down?

Of course these same places are home to tragic stories - but with love even these can help others through their bad days.

Pretty tough question to answer for you to go unless your related to Santa. Goodness and hope are the whispers in our hurricanes we call society today. Just don't give up the hope you have.

In the eyes of a child.
Look into the eyes of a three year old, ask him any question and you'll get the most honest answer. They believe in the impossible and love totally. Their anger is immense. Their hope, reckless. Children are the world's biggest secret: hope.

I think there is hope in service to others. Seeing that one can make a difference in the life of another gives me hope.

in every new born baby. Just go check out the labor and delivery floor of your local hospital. Watch the newborns as they come into the nursery right after being born.
There's your hope for the future.

Mankind is more peaceful now than ever before. More people are well fed and educated than ever before. More people live in freedom than ever before. Technology is making our lives fuller and more interesting all the time and is on the verge of making us immortal. I'd say there is plenty of room for hope.

No matter how hopeless things seem here on earth, in Christ we have ultimate eternal hope. People who don't know Christ have nothing but their own hopelessness to cling to.Hope is trusting God to act in his good timing

Nature. Just look at the smallest, most insignificant species that have been around for nearly as long as this planet. Somehow, it all just works. Tell me that isn't hopeful:)
