I am a veteran. I served for 20+ years and just retired. It does my heart good to hear that. I never did it for the money or benefits. I did it for our future. Thank you for for your kind words.

Cheers,

We had a really neat experience one day when my husband (Active Army) came back from training we stopped by the grocery on the way home and this little old man reached out and asked to shake his hand. He had served too at some point but it was neat to see his appreciation. I will never forget it and it makes a difference especially when we are saying goodbye to our deploying soldiers that it does mean something.

Simply put from a person who has spent many years in the military..... both growing up and 20 years myself.

Thankyou for saying that. Some people don't get it. This soldier, though finally home now for good will go to bed tonight with a heartfelt appreciation for your attitude.

100% agree, my husband has been in the army for 2 years now and it sucks, I hate him being gone all the time, I hate it when he is stressed out all the time, I hate it when his life is in danger and i have to sit on the sideline and wait for a possible safe return, but most of all I hate that there are ungrateful Americans still living in this country, living on American soil. Americans that protest against our nation and its greatness. Americans that believe soldiers are the bad guys in this never ending war on terrorism and feel they need to voice their opinions at a funeral for one of our nations fallen hero's. I just want to say F%$# you all, America is great because of our men and I am 100% proud of my husband and every single one of the worlds finest military members of the United States.

thank you. My husband is "over there" now and I know that just knowing there are people here showing support is a huge deal for his guys. It really means a lot to those of us left home to take care of everything else, too.

Thank you, on behalf of my Marine son in Iraq, and me, his Mama. This is so refreshing to hear, and a welcome change too!
I do get sick of all the negativity.
