If you were God, would you want people to worship you? For what purpose? Just to make you feel like you're in charge? What kind of personality does God have if he wants to be worshipped?

Worshipping God comes through many ways. Tithing, kindness, prayer, fellowship, and so on. Christians worship God through countless ways as an act of "thanks" and "gratitude" for sending his Son to die on the cross.

When Adam and Eve sinned that brought a separation between God and man. In other words man broke his fellowship with God. (God never wanted that seperation, that was man's choice). Worship is the only thing that brings man into fellowship with God. God desires us to worship him in spirit and in truth, with a love for Him that is real, that comes from the heart. Worship just shows our love for God. It's kind of like this... even though you know that your children love you, what does it do for you when they show their love by giving you a hug and a kiss and tell you how much they love you. that's something every parent desires. It makes you feel loved ,and that's different than just knowing it! It's the same way with God.

If you were almighty superior whatever it may be would you want to be worshiped thought of etc.? For example look at all those hypocritical people bowing down to the Pope does that make sense or is it a bunch of rubbish. Any type of profession you have a boss you follow orders directions etc. Some situations are out of respect but not necessarily worship.

God does not NEED to be worshipped. If everyone in the world worshipped him, it would be no different for him if one person worshipped him, or if no one did. He does not need us, but we need him.

God deserves to be worship for giving the people the knowledge to build, farm, live better more productive. Making people smarter, sunsets, sunrises. The mountains, and beaches. Air to breath, water to drink, birds and all things beautiful. For saving me from a burning torment and eternal damnation.

God made everyone so He can be worshipped. Is a king a king if he doesn't have anyone to rule over? God had no one, and he is the King of all kings and he had no one!

God doesn't "need" anything. And if He did, all He would have to do is think of it and He would have it. WE need to worship God. WE benefit from doing so. Our worship doesn't enhance God's state of existence in the slightest. How can you improve upon perfection? The right to worship Him is a tremendous gift to us, which allows us to reach our full potential as human beings by sharing in the life of God.

God is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He doesn't force anyone to worship him. That comes from being humble and wanting to thank him for sending his Son to offer us a way to Heaven.

The most preposterous notion that H. Sapiens has ever dreamed up is that the Lord God of Creation, Shaper and Ruler of all the Universes, wants the saccharine adoration of His creatures, can be swayed by their prayers, and becomes petulant if He does not receive this flattery. Yet this absurd fantasy, without a shred of evidence to bolster it, pays all the expenses of the oldest, largest, and least productive industry in all of history.
