Go to the library and find a book called The Blue Book of Gun Values. Look up your gun and see what it says. Since I don't know the condition of your gun, neither I, nor anyone else. can do this for you. Everyone thinks their gun is in excellent shape but after you read the procedure for evaluation of a gun, you may find that it is not in excellent condition according to the book. Once you have figured out its true condition, you can look at a table and see what it is worth. This value is what a store would charge for your gun in its condition. It is not necessarily what you can expect from an individual when selling it and most certainly not what you will get if you take it ot a gun dealer to sell it. He will only give you the wholesale price because he has to make something when he sells it at the Blue Book price.

$250-475 or so depending on condition.

What do you mean by "maybe she needs to put it up"? As in you don't think women should be hunting or that you don't think she's worthy of using something based on your opinion?

;)

You're not going to put your kids through college on it....but if the thought of her using something you're obviously worrying over is really getting to you, by all means, sell it and buy her a new Remington or a Mossberg. Take her out to dinner on the $50 difference.
