Well, they both have there faults and advantages, Vistas are new and have far many bugs than XP because XP has been out for years, most all the bugs have been worked out. The Vistas however will be fairly new and some of the downloads comming out may be for only Vista and not XP because XP are getting pretty old. I have a Windows XP computer but I personally like my Vista notebook I bought from Best Buy. Some of the newer Vista notebooks tend to overerheat and automaticly turn off and unsaved data is gone for the most part which is a disadvantage but i always use a cooling pad undermine at all times no matter where im at so I never worry about overheating. I also prefer my Vista notebook because Nortan Incternet Security downloads for Vista only that are new compared to the ones you get on XP. Hope you decide which one you like ;)

XP hands down. There are still resolving issues with Vista. To give you an example on how much I believe in this I recently went out and purchased 2 brand new laptops. They both came with Vista and they made to the boot up screen.. to test to see if the PC was coming up... Went to CMOS changed the boot and installed a BRAND NEW FRESH copy of XP Pro...

haha So much for Vista!!!

Depends on your machine and preferences. It's really up to you. I like the glass like windows in Vista, but if you like the "fisher price" style in XP, then go for it. At this point, a lot of people say that Vista is slow and therefore it's evil but I say that its the bon diggetyest! So it really boils down to you. What do you choose?

You know, its a matter of opinion.
When Windows XP came out, many people hated it and wanted to stick to Windows 2000. Almost everyone moved to XP.

The same thing will happen to Vista, soon everyone (who can) will be using it.

If you can afford windows vista, and your computer is relitively good, use Vista. Otherwise stick to XP.

though visually vista is very good... but i have to admit i have to a newer pc recommend for vista... as you know the requirements to run vista is so high..... compared to xp....

if visually we can transform the looks of the xp to vista... by using vista transformation pack or any thing that has the same use....

Stick with XP. Save yourself!
Vista = compatibility issues + DRM + no 3rd party drivers + Microsoft dictating your life!

I like vista
I laugh at the people who have old outdated XP PCs hahaha

anyways its so easy to download drivers form the manufacturer's website. Usually you don't have to do that, since vista does it automatically.
also, you get direct x 10 in vista, which is superior to direct x 9 in XP, so future games will have a better sense of realism to them.

Don't bother with XP, which was released in 2001, and get Vista, released in 2007.
I have it, no problems, like it alot better than my XP PC.
