Awww - congratulations! Well, I am hopig this is a happy occassion - you didnt get into any details. There are so many ways to announce this little bundle on the way - it depends on the type of couple you are. You can give him a framed sonogram and write "Baby's First Picture" or you can get a little rattle or booties and wrap them up as a present for him. Or check out your local card shop - they have cute little cards for this very occassion. Get creative. However - if this is not a happy surprise....uhhhhh, guess it depends on the situation. you could do it a few ways....
the ooohy gooy way.... romantic dinner and a gift thats something like baby booties or something like that
you can do it with a lil bit of a laugh... dinner with BABY back ribs, BABY snow peas and stuff like that and ask if he can see a theme going on...
or a really cute way I saw on Full House years ago....
play a game of charades or something where you can draw it out and everyone playing has to draw something with baby in the title... the wife did "She's Having A Baby" it was really cute and it could work for telling him, his parents and your parents...all at once! Good Luck! And congrats!

Well ---- what is the key word in this question -- I think it is LOVE - right . The next word just as important is WE - o.k. So now that you have that factored in --- just embrace the situation and look into his eyes and simply tell him. Be sure the news get to him via you -- not someone else. Don't just crack it to him! He may have a heart-attack. Tell him you have some not bad news but big news and he should sit down and prepare himself for it. Than tell him you love him and that you are pregnant with his baby. Ther's limetless reactions to this so after that your going to have to play it by ear.

Actually, I think that exact phrase might be quite poetic. I normally would say to keep things short, blunt, and to the point. That said, I think that would be a rather poignant and soft way of saying it.
