I know its dumb, but I just can't stand the thought of missing someone who's not missing me...?

Question

I was dating this guy for around 3 months, I know not a very long time, but I really did like him. He was an army man, due to ship out to Iraq in December, and was living where I live because he was helping his grandfather with a bussiness venture, and would only be here temporarilly. Again, I know I shouldn't have let myself attach, but this guy, is like prince charming, no joke. Now I'm not trying to dwell on it, or be together despite the odds, I do have some realisim, but I just wanna know if he's missing me like I'm missing him.
We haven't really talked since he left, like 2 weeks ago, though he always acted like he cared and told me he would miss me. The night he left, as he could tell I was starting to get upset, he says out of the blue, you know I didnt sleep last night, and couldnt give me a reason, so I interpreted it as his way of verbalizing he was upset about leaving, and though we both knew we wouldnt he says as I'm leaving, I'll see you later...CONTINUED IN DETAILS!!

and when I called him on it, his was reponse was, well probably not, but you never know....I texted him a few times since he's gone, not excessivly, just a couple funny random things, we'd ordinarilly laugh about. So I finally randomly recieved a text from him a few days after he left, at this point I'd only sent 1 asking if he'd left yet(btw, he went back to where he was initially from up north to be with his family before he leaves and also, because leading up to leaving his amount of training goes up) and also a myspace comment telling him to drive safe. He sent 2 back and forth and then just stopped...and I've heard nothing since, though I've sent probably 2 or three texts. A guy friend told be it could be that he is missing me, but is just trying to make it easier by not talking to me...which I guess I could understand, do you find this likely, considering 99% of his actions when we were together say he did...or is he just whatever...?

Realize anytime anyone loves it scars the heart. Do scars heal? Do you forget a scar? were it came from, who gave it to you, what you went thru to get it? Then be asured hunnie, he misses you, thats not really the point, don't get hung up on things like that were love is envolved. Just grasp the concept and get some feel good feelings out of it. Because as humans we never forget, oooo we can deny like crazy, but we never forget, to forget would mean that we would change who we are, which I might be going to deep their, just realize, by the fundemental nature of love, he misses you, he thinks about you, and you've left your mark....
