I asked an earlier question about female pastors, right or wrong. Quite a few mentioned cultural changes as a reason.
If the Bible says in Malachi that "I, the Lord, do not change," how did the interpretation change in the Bible? Did it "change" because of the cultural change? If it did, then God must have changed with the culture. We have a paradox here.
If the Bible is ALL God inspired, then even when it is was written, would still be effective today as it was yesterday. If Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, how does the Word change from culture to culture if He doesn't?

Yes, you have noticed what SO MUCH of the mainline churches' leadership has obviously forgotten!
We are to influence the culture, be the salt, instead, we are getting seasoned by the culture!
This has left many confused as to what to believe, and is why many are leaving the church today.
The only way any of this could happen is to dispute the words of the Bible.

And yet even in the Bible woman were strong in the faith and encourager's. Many go into the ministry for the wrong reason. If God calls then you should answer either man or woman. Who can contend with God and win? The Bible states that a woman should not be head of the church because God realizes that the time required would take away from family where the woman is most important in raising children. Men are also very important in the home but most jobs including Ministry require long hours keeping then from the home except in the evening.

Even tough times have changed, the word of the Bible has not, God has not. I am not against listening to a woman preach, but I wonder sometime when I am listening to her if this is what God wanted. I agree the Bible is all God inspired and the cultural world has change, but mostly for the worst.

The Bible forbids women to have a teaching authority over men.

"A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner." 1Tim 2:11-13

Notice that the scripture argues not from a cultural perspective but from the very nature of the roles which God defined for men and women all the way back in Genesis.

God and His Word do not change. The "times" changing should have no effect on how we follow His word. If we allow it to, we are being worldly, not Godly. I have been blessed to be a part of a wonderful Bible based church. I can assure you that a woman would not lead service, or prayer, or ever teach a class in which men were a part of it.

Every single word and direction from God is as effective today as it was then. Some, however, decide not to follow what is too difficult for them, or that they can't let go of in themselves. A shame really. For there is such wisdom and truth in all of God's Word.

God Bless.

The Bible says God doesn't change. His Holiness is always the same. However, you can't apply those things which are cultural or those things that are meant for a certain time. People bring up about killings that went on in the Old Testament but they were for the founding of Israel and are no longer valid. There were food laws (not eating pork) that are no longer valid. There were women church leaders and pastors during Paul's time. When women were told not to speak in church it was because they had just come out of paganism and were asking questions of their husbands in church that was disrupting the service. It has nothing to do with today. A thorough understanding of the Bible will help you understand what is valid today and what is not.

My ambitious predictions: Texans take over via fact the AFC South Champs- Andre Johnson is a freaking beast Giants dont make playoffs- Eli and the offense regarded undesirable with out Burress on the top of final season Farve indications with Vikings and gets benched whilst then have a bad start to the season 0-4. partly via suspension of the Williams wall. McDaniels leaves the Broncos on the top of the season via a bad first season and tearing aside of the Broncos team. Traded the two suitable human beings earlier the season even began (Culter and Marshall, no im no longer an retarded i understand Marshall hasnt been traded yet Marshall would be traded earlier the season starts). This leaves adult adult males questioning who's job is risk-free. Boldin gets traded to the Ravens to swap the consisent wideout the ravens had in mason. provide ME some comments!!! This is one of the portions of the Bible that I personally believe is not translated correctly.
My reason for this statement is because The Father and The Son do make subtle changes to practices along the way.

For example, The Law of Moses is Fulfilled. If The Lord did not change, then we would all still be required after his sacrifice to adhere to this law.

The progression is this, The Law of Moses was: All your sacrifices in resitution for sin shall be in similitude of the Sacrifice The Messiah will do.

The New Law is: All your sacrifices in restitution for sin shall be in similitude of what the Messiah did. For his heart, and bod were broken So you shall have a Broken Heart and Contrite Spirit for the sin you committed. You shall now go thy way and Sin No More.

There is no longer a need to make physical sacrifices only spiritual ones.

Does that make any sense?

God is not male or female, we were made neither male or female, then God made a woman out of the man
so they are one and the same
God is the one that said the young women would Prophesy in the last days and the woman would compass a man, that means more women than men on earth, the old men would dream dreams and the young men would have visions

So if women are not to hold office, why then is Hillary Clinton running for President

I say, no to that, that is a man's place he is the strong one
she has PMS, and periods, and all kinds of problems
not a place for a women

Isn't it amazing how churches change doctrine for their own benefit?! I remember when the pope died a few years back. People were guessing who the new one would be. "Will he allow gay marriage?" "Will he change priests and nuns marrying?" I kept thinking, what?! The new pope writing up his own new doctrine for the church. I always felt that this stuff should come from Heavenly Father, not a leader of a church.

Anyway, to your question...the Lord does not change. Women can not hold the priesthood. Never have, never will. It isn't a bash to women, that is just the duty of the men.
