Go to the store and buy peppermint flavoring. When you get home fill a small sauce pot up with water. Heat it to boiling and then put a few drops of the peppermint flavoring in the water. Turn the heat off and set the pot on a hot pad on the counter. Once the water reaches room temperature pour it into a bottle and feed it to the baby.
The peppermint flavoring releases the gas and soothes the tummy. The baby may let out a few burps, this is good, but she will also sleep very well.
This worked on my niece and my grand daughters. Old remedies are always the best.

Three weeks is very common to have a colicky baby. It is so hard to watch them in so much pain, too, especially if this is your first one or the first one you have had with colic.
What worked great for us was to lay her on her stomach over our laps and gently pat her bottom. She relaxed that way and the pain eased up a little bit. But my best suggestion is to mention it to the doctor and he will either try to switch her formula to something less hard on her digestive system or prescribe something called Mylicon (not sure if it is spelled right or not). Mylicon are drops that you give to the baby and in my opinion, I believe they are the miracle for colic. After about 20 minutes she calmed down and was back to her normal self.
Good luck and remember that she's just a baby and will grow out of it!

All 3 of my kids where the same way tried the gas drops- worked but not well enough. Had to switch to soy formula...
It made it all better! Try rubbing your baby's tummy clock wise it helps the gas move through them.
Good Luck!

Try different formulas. I wouldn't give a three-week-old gas drops without consulting her pediatrician. 3 weeks is young. Try different formulas and see if that helps. And talk to her doctor. That's what he/she is there for.

Try to take the babies legs and push them up onto the stomach for just a second ( knees into stomach) the doctor recommended this for my first and it worked wonders, plus use the gas drops before feedings.

Switch formulas and work her legs in a bicycle motion after she eats....it makes the baby poot. Is it too late for you to try and breast feed?
