I was born and raised here and compared to how it used to be DC is not that dangerous. People always want to harp on the negative but never see the positive. There are more good neighborhoods than bad in DC but people who know little to nothing about this city always see the bad. Just because some neighborhoods may not be up to certain peoples standards doesn't mean they are bad. To those people I say get out and explore the city, you may learn something. Personally I'm not a big fan of Maryland, I love my city and DC is where I want to stay.

I was born in D.C. but raised in P.G. County Md. Which just happens to be right next to the city. Where I live, I could cross the street and be in d.c. and cross back over and be in md. pg. county is labeled the worst suburban county in the united states. the crime rate here sometimes overshadows d.c.
im not saying its good because you always have to be alert out here. some are saying move to maryland but it is dangerous here too.

I would love to live in Washington for a year so I could explore everything. I want to see every inch. All of the Smithsonian museums.
I would like to spend time in Maryland and explore the Chesapeake Bay area and eat great seafood.

Actually, I currently live in Atlanta and I am planning to move to the DC/MD area by next year. I love the prestige of the city, the location and the night life. DC has a lot to offer as far as government jobs and contracts as well. Plus I love the vast amount of culture that area has. And I love go go music!

I live in DC, and I would move out whenever I get the chance. The people are rude. The city doesn't have a big-city feel. And the attractions get old. Move somewhere else if you're thinking about moving here.

I like living in DC. It's much easier to get around without a car if you live in DC than if you live in the suburbs. I also run around among all three jurisdictions, so living in DC makes it easier to get to where I need to go.

Trust me, Maryland is better. Although DC has nice tourist attractions certain parts of it are dangerous.
