ok so im a softy aka sophmore in highschool and theirs this girl that is also a softy and she is at my lunch and thats the only time i see her, she is very pretty and sits with all girls, im not sure about her status, but i want her to know i like her but im like extremely shy, its weird cause im a very funny popular guy in school, but when it comes to girls im shy any help would be cool? also i do not know this girl, and would like to get to know her.

first of all thats very cool that even tho you are so funny and popular in school there is another part of you that feels for this girl. thats so much better than the stupid macho popular guys who act like taht around girls becuase they think its cool.
if you want to talk to this girl just talk to her. i know thats what everyone always says. but find out what shes interested in (certain bands or art or sports or something) and ask her about it. be prepared to answer back but not overly prepared. if you can, try to catch her while shes not around her crowd of girls. that can be even more intimidating, plus if one of them thinks its funny to crack a joke at you then the chances are that the rest of them will too and you may end up feeling attacked.
and use your humor to your advantage. most girls love a guy with a good sense of humor.
so just talk to her. a little bit at first. try to catch her between classes or when you might have to be leaving to go somewhere. anything that you have to keep on schedule. that way if you run out of things to say or if it gets a little awkward you have a reason to end the conversation. and if the opposite happens and you have to go in the middle of a great conversation, it will leave her wanting to talk to you again and she will remember you.
after you have talked to her a few times you can ask her to hang out outside of school probably.

just go up and talk to her. dont let what others think control you. if your afriad cause others will make fun of you. its not a big deal. if you treat it like a hugh deal it will be a hugh deal.
