And does Mormonism teach the truth about Jesus?

Mormons believe these things about God: that He has not always been the Supreme Being of the universe, but attained that status through righteous living and persistent effort. They believe God the Father has a “body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s.” Though abandoned by modern Mormon leaders, Brigham Young taught that Adam actually was God and the father of Jesus Christ.
Mormon leaders have taught that Jesus’ incarnation was the result of a physical relationship between God the Father and Mary. They believe Jesus is a God, but that any human can also become a god.

Every branch of Christianity conflicts with all others in (usually) many ways. Mormonism is no different.

Mormons DO believe in the Bible and believe that it was written by inspired men chosen by God to be Prophets. They DO believe that Christ was the Son of God who was sent here to redeem us from death and Sin.

You'll get lots of responses from the Mormon-Haters, many of whom will be spreading lies or mis-information.

Many won't agree with this, but Yes, they teach the truth about Jesus.

Yes we do. It has been said that a man can grow closer to God by living the teachings of the Book of Mormon. And the Book of Mormon, is all about Christ. It teaches you concepts about Christ and who he really is, and most importantly, how we become like him. It will also reaffirm the teachings outlined in the Bible.

What we were taught in college was that the founder of the Mormon faith supposedly had two plates with writing on it by Jesus (how did Jesus get to Utah and why isn't it in the real Bible? but I digress) But the plates disappeared and no one else ever saw the plates. So no, Mormons are not really Christians. I apologize if this offends anyone.

To the first question, yes. We believe in the God of Abraham(like the Jews, other Christians, and the muslims), we believe in the Holy Spirit, and that Jesus was the son of God and savior of the earth.

Now, truth based on faith is different to everyone. I rejected the gospel for 4 years, and recently I've come to know the "truth"(define as wanted) and I'm being baptized Mormon this Thursday.

There are 3 separate Persons that Rule in heaven, God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the HOLY Ghost.
there are 24 elders that sit on thrones which are are around the throne of the LORD jesus.
And YET, according to the book of revelation, Jesus invites ALL HOLY (mortal) men to overcome ALL things and sit in the SAME throne .
According to the gospel of John, Jesus prays that WE can all become ONE with God as he is one. He further says that he Goes to HIS God and OUR God, to His Father and our Father.
this verse proved to me that christian theology is in great error when they teach the trinity.

Mormonism teaches that Jesus is the very Eternal Father, on the other hand, but commentators have said that Jesus is the Father of our salvation to try and fix this confusion.

in my opinion, Jesus is NOT God the Father, but more importantly He is the promised messiah which has been prophesied since before the flood and throughout all history. He is Part of the Godhead and therefore correctly Called Emanuel, God with us. He is the word of God and is God. but according to the book of revelation, so can we be called gods ONCE we are set apart and ordained to be so.

take special notice of what Jesus says to those who do sit on His Throne, They will become His Sons and He will become their God, ( in essense He will become Father)

Yes. We believe in BOTH the Bible and Book of Mormon. We also believe in the same Jesus(another misconception is that the Jesus we believe in is a different one).

I have a testimony of the bible and the truths it contains. I also have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. Both are testaments of Jesus Christ.

Yes, and yes. I mean, why would we teach anything different tan the God of the Bible, and the TRUTH of Jesus Christ?

Now, I can't say that your truth is teh same as mine, but different doesn't mean wrong.
