Depends upon your definition of God.

The traditional Judeo-Christian God? I would think 40%.

People who believe in some type of God? I would say 75%.

People who believe in some kind of creative force in the Universe (whether that be God or energy)? I would say 90%.

Peace!

Keep in mind when those surveys are conducted 7% to 14% report back as atheists...then a bunch more report back as either agnostic or "not religious" which means atheist and agnostic.

I honestly believe that the percentage is much less than what these guys r talking about..I don't think it goes higher than 70 percent or even less.

At last count it was quite high.
And that speaks volumes about the average american. NO where else do you get such rampant ignorance in a first world nation.

Approximately 86%, last time I heard. The rest are atheists, agnostics, undecided, etc...
