I woke up like this about ten years ago. It was just cloudy, wasn't painful. I honestly thought it was from sleeping in my contacts. I found out it was actually a disease called Uveitis brought on by an auto-immune disease called Sarcoidosis. By the time that a doctor was able to diagnose it, I had to have my right eye removed. I am now fighting it in my left eye.

Get to an opthamalogist IMMEDIATELY! If it's nothing to worry about, atleast you have that piece of mind. If it is something, you can get a jump on it, get it treated, and not end up like me.

I would seek IMMEDIATE medical attention. It could be a clot in a central retinal artery, a retinal vein obstruction or a detached retina. Certain medicines might predispose a person to such a situation. Even leukemia could present thus, albeit rarely.

I'm glad yours was temporary.
