I do not understand the idea of positive energy. I understand that we can act with kindness simply as a way to get along, or we can be kind because we are kind. The second way means that we are kind even to those who might not be so to us.
I hope I am kind, but my answer is not always yes. I do not support everything. I do oppose the efforts of some. I will stick with trying to be kind and leave the positive energy to others.

The thumbs down is really very helpful, especially when fundi rants go on for 2 pages and you have to scroll so much to read them...the thumb down just gets them out of the way so you can read the rest of the answers. So no, I will continue to use thumbs up or down as I always have.
I don't see it as negative energy either. Negative and positive, good and bad, are all judgments that you make. Events are just things that should be accepted for what they are.

Id love too but it sounds like you already have your negative wave people here any ways who COULD NOT respect your wish to not thumb down and ignore it.
Radicals will always be radicals no matter how open or friendly you try to be. So long as you do not share their particular extreme view they thumb you down, I swear it is like a drug to them. I think Y!A should remove the thumb up and down.

The second guy, what a bonehead, started with him, all he had to do was just ignore your question but NO radicals can never keep their yapps shut so the rest of us could enjoy just ONE day with out all their NEGATIVETY.

Ok, I'm in. It's not a big effort for me though, just standard course. I very rarely give thumbs down, but try to give thumbs up whenever I see someone who gave a well-thought out or very funny answer, whether I agree with them or not.

I always try to radiate positive energy. Only rude and crass people get a thumbs down from me. If someones opinion does not agree with mine, it is still their opinion so one should not give a thumbs down for that reason.
