I've heard of Calvinism being deeply ingrained in the Scottish psyche for example

Well, I'm not 100% sure, but I know some people who went down to Peru on a missions trip, and they said it was mainly Catholicism. Like they had big pictures of Jesus on the cross in their churches (but none of Him resurrected). Also, if you watch stuff on the health channel, people in Middle America are also superstitious. Like in one place they believe that if you're pregnant and go to a certain lake, that your baby will be deformed! -but I guess they have reason to since the baby on the health channel show was supposed to prove it.

Calvinism? no fiestas, no religious art seems aculture would be gloomier than ,say, Catholic and Orthodox cultures that know how to have agood time in the name of God

Compare the Italians, Catholic Swiss and Greeks with the Genevan Calvinists, the New England Calvinists and the Scottish Calvinists

Methodism gives a more open minded approach...Jesus commanded only 2 sacraments...Catholics have 7!!
