My friend and I were just driving down the road smoking a bowl, driving on country roads and about 15 20 min. right after we got out of a town we passed, he pulled us over. For not coming to a comlete stop at a stop sign and driving left of center. Now, I've never in my life been that stoned where i wouldn't realize that. especially not after 20 min. I drove back through the same way we were coming that night about 5 times now and... of corse no stop sighn what-so-ever. and there weren't even any lines on the road. so of coarse we got busted. but do you think i would have a chance to get out of this whole mess at court? since he lied about why he pulled us over, even though he found evidence? btw. the address in the report doesn't match where he pulled us over at. PLEASE HELP ME!... i really don't want to have to pay this fine... lol

ok i did say country road right? and out here at that time of night there really isn't anybody on those roads. maybe some deer.. but that's it.

There do not have to be lines for you to drive left of center. It just means that you were driving to the left of the center of the road.
In addition, the address on the ticket will be where the officer observed the infraction, NOT where he stopped you.
Take a plea bargain and stop smoking dope...unless you want the rest of your life to go this way...

you deserve to get off scott free. but what should happen and what does happen are two different things a lot of the time. my guess is that they found drugs, so they will do all they can to string you up, regardless of "minor technicalities" that accompany the situation. the government is powerful, and it frequently finds a way around these pesky rules that are in place specifically to prevent it from being corrupted. what you need is a good lawyer, and a smart jury. then you've got a chance.

You can probably get out of it with a good lawyer but the fact that you had pot in your possession may land you on probation. The fine you should get from missing a stop sign should be thrown out if it isn't true.

You were endangering lives by 'smoking a bowl' on public roads. I think you ought to plead guilty and have a good hard look at yourself.

I have children and I dont want someone who is "just getting high" to plow in to my car and kill my family because they wanted to act less than teir age. In my oppion I hope you get more than fines. maybe you wont do it again.
