Is there a law about young kittens not being able to go home alone if they are under ____ months. I was going to adopt a 10 week old kitten today but the woman told me that kittens at that age cannot go home without another kitten. I live in Minnesota. Is she lying or telling the truth?

she's lying to you; she just wants you to buy another kitten.
If you want 2, take both because kittens do like to play with each other and stuff, but other than that she is lying and you can take one home.

You can bring home one kitten as long as it is 8 weeks or older. There is no law that you have to have 2 if it's 10 weeks old ANYWHERE in the US. She probably just wants to get rid of more than one at a time, and is trying to scam you.

I work at an animal shelter in Florida and we spay or neuter our kittens at 8 weeks. They are adoptable a few days after that. I do not know the law in MN but 10 weeks seems like alot.
You may want to do an internet search on the laws in your state. Maybe the law is 10 weeks...I don't know.
But as far as them needing to go in pairs By Law... That is BS!

She's lying. Kittens can go home at 8 weeks and older. They do not need other kitties to go with them either.

That is a lie. I think this woman wants to get rid of all her kittens and has concocted a lie to get rid of them faster.

Enjoy your new kitten!
