First things first. the 91 ford escort uses R 12 freon not R134
these freons and oils do not mix at all. if this car has been changed please forgive me. if not you will have to take it to a shop that can comply with epa guidelines . if it has find the low pressure charge port and top it off . this system holds 34 oz of R12 so you would only want 80% of this amount of R134.
norman low side pressure is 35-45psi ac on

There are two lines from the compressor. Follow the larger of these and you will come to a quick disconnect fitting. It will probably have some sort of cover on it. CAUTION--be sure the engine is idling and the a/c is on before making a connection. The pressure can be 100 + psi if the engine and a/c are off. This could rupture the can.

The Line that Goes From under Hood To A/C Box in Fire Wall Will be low side, If you buy a can of freon with one hose on it,it will only fit on the low side port.
