Ok, well i have asked ALOT of questions about skateboarding and they are all good. in none of them i have actually said what my weight is... im 13 and im 180 pounds...Huge. Im REALLY trying to lose ALOT of weight. Im not the kind of guy that really likes doing sports But, i have to. I've tried skateboarding and its Really fun and i think it loses weight. Most people say it turns Fat into Muscle, is that Good?? Also, i do Soccer, and quite a bit of running, im Really trying to weight down until High School and im planning to do that in the summer, and the school year. Would you recommend Skateboarding? i mean is it a fun and fast way to lose weight?? Oh and also can you Please tell me what people mean by "skateboarding turns fat into muscle!" I would REALLY appreciate it!

Any sport is going to help you lose weight. I think skateboarding would do it, soccer is a really good sport for losing weight and another is ice hockey. Most people see ice hockey players in all their gear and think that they're huge... but they're not. I'm a 5'4" female, do weigh 160lbs (although most is muscle... I look about 130) and I can measure up to the guys on the ice. You want some adrenaline and fun? Give hockey a try (but skating is good too.... just please don't get into the drug scene that frequently goes with it... my bro did that)

Yo you can lose a lot of weight skateboarding. If you skate 5 hours a day you will lose weight. Each hour you lose 240 calories. I love to skate. I lost 16 pounds in like a month but I skate like 6 to 7 hours a day when I have time. Hope this helps.

hey kid.
since u like skateboarding then also give wakeboarding a go. trust me you will lose more weight than skating. and in a few years time you will be doing all those crazy inverts, spins... all ladies will be flying at you. trust me its not as painful as skating and it will help you lose more weight and maintain your appearance in the long term. combined with what u already do: soccer and running.

You have to be 100% committed to follow through this summer so you can impress all your friends and enemies by the time high school starts.
i can tell u there is no fast way. BUT keep the exercise up.
i'm no expert in nutrition so here is a link with EXCELLENT articles that will give you ideas on how to eat healthier. there is just HEAPS of useful tips.

skateboarding alone will NOT turn fat into muscle!!!!
its the amount of exercise that u are willing to do and the foods you eat.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!

Don't worry about the brand too much. DC's, Fallen, eS Theory, Etnies, and other major brands are good. I would recommend a vulcanized shoe because it lets you feel you trick and you feel better with the board than a cup sole shoe. I use vulcanized eS Theory shoes and I love them.
