Or has anyone noticed that the best way to keep us from complaining about the war is to filter the news that comes to us so that we only know just a little bit about what's going on there?

I'm sure that it's just as bad as it's always been. Crazy war.

The number of American and Iraqi civilian deaths has gone down each month since May. There have been no kidnappings of westerners in Iraq in months. This isn't being covered, no are our successes against the enemy. It is happening, the stories aren't being reported.

The best way to keep us from supporting the war is to filter the news that comes to us so that we know just a little bit (like our failures and american military deaths) about what's going on there.

My theory is that violence in Iraq is down these days because my brother's over there now kicking a## and taking names. Oh, sure, the other couple hundred thousand other soldiers, sailors, airmen and contractors may be playing a role, not to mention how the media is covering events, but I remain inclined to atribute any positive developments in Iraq entirely to my brother.

Yes. I've noticed it. So have the major TV news operations. That's why they're on a diet of celebrity and sports figure news 24/7.

The media controls it all and it's sad. The question is who controls the media? The problem is you can't truly believe what the media feeds us. There are a lot of dumb asses in America who buy right into, the rest of us know better than that.

The fact is, it has. I was in a Marine Battallion which helped to stabilize the Al Anbar province of Iraq.
