in the past 6 months i've gone from being able to move boxes & furniture to now can hardly lift my arms to wash my hair.
can barely pick up my purse.
frustrated since i can no longer do 99% of what i was able to do in the springtime.
medicine they gave me makes me feel like a zombie, and even more tired than before,
also still have pain all over,
even a fan blowing air against my skin hurts
everything hurts
can't even use eating utensils properly.
any ideas would be helpful.

I have been living with Fibro for nearly 28 years-the onset seems to be the worst.
Keeping warm is best the cold seems to make it worse.---do not sit near fans or air conditioning units.
Get enough rest and try to keep moving, email me we can talk.

I don't think there is much you can do! I have the same problem but only on my left side. When I go to bed, the blanket can't touch my left side because it hurts and I am really tired also, living with pain day by day! I've tried medications, painkillers, anti-inflammatories, etc.. Just know that you are not alone with this illness. You have to tell yourself that some people are much worse than we are, that's what keeps me going! I feel your pain and by the way I'm 45, have
1. Fibromyalgia
2. Sjogren Syndrome
3. Tinnitus
4. Thyroiditis
5. Panic Disorder
6. Post traumatic stress disorder
7. Tendonitis
8. Rheumatoid Arthritis
I know it can get really depressing to always be sick and have pain but tell yourself, at least you don't have cancer. I wish you the best of luck and you will be in my prayers!! Sorry I couldn't help you more!

I have had fibromyalgia for 10 years it started after my 2nd back surgery. I take amitriptline it does not make me feel like a zombie and it helps.

I also found out that if you use to much sugar it will make me hurt worse. Like soda's and sweets. I do take hydrocodine for pain when I need it. I have to take ambien for sleep.

You are in what is called a flair! Fibromyalgia makes me so tired and forgetful I felt sometime that I had Altizmiers! I notice when I am in a flair I have tender spots like on the sides
of my elbow's on my chest and on the side's of my knees.

You add this to my shoulder and back it can be really painful.

When you get out of a flair it feels so good like a weight just being lifted off me. Then it can come back when you get sick or hurt yourself.
I notice it lasted 10 months when I first had an attack!!

Good Luck!! age 45

A successful idea is yoga. Hearing the sound of
meditative water, then sun and desert wind, and then
fresh wind with livestocks, horses, nature sounds. These
help to issue you substantial information to where God
realizes your plight. A temple or church site for rest is
a most highly deemed input for the disabled. Your new
condition is a failure to utilize your strength. Energy is a
mystical input. There are good places where the flow is
with you for your own peace. Paris has a good spa called
the seine fresh flowers club. They have types of nurses
for spa actions, it is free from catholic charities. The new
age of medicines are often dramamines to ease pains
and you need to realize taking them is also addictive. A
type of addictive that is not recoverable, called aridized.
Medicine is not the law, making you fear. It is an attempt
to treat symptoms, and causes that has limits. One is the
administration is expensive. Don't denounce your church
friends and go into the world of percentages. Save up
eat your favorite happy meal, and get on the ship to paris.
This is a serious life demanding situation, you must try.

there is a new drug that is being tested for the effects on fibromyalgia it is called Xyrem. I work in a sleep lab and have done a research study on it. They are testing it now to see how it can help patients with fibromyalgia. What it does is allow you to get better and deeper sleep. It lets you get more of your deep sleep which is where your growth hormones are released. Which it turn means that if you get more deep sleep you body can fix itself better, which means less pain for you. I would keep your eyes open or talk to you Doctor about it. it is on the market and there have been some people out there that are using it for fibromyalgia, and it has helped a lot of people so far......I hope this helps some.....

Hi I'am 36 male and have had this for the past 5 years, there is no cure for it just drugs to keep the pain at bay.
Over the years I have learnt to take it easy as its similar to ME. If you try and do too much you will suffer the next day.
Ask your Dr to refer you for aqua thearpy.
As for the drugs you take try looking for natural remidies as they do work.
I take Glucosamine and omega 3.
There are also support groups for this condition I got the information from my local hospital

The link below mentions fibromyalgia. I suggest you follow it and see where it goes for you. I recently found his resources for another condition and I was delighted with how his healing diet cured me. All the best to you.
