the bible never says that if you commit suicide you go to hell.

the closest thing i can think of that would refer to suicide is the idea that your body is a temple. for the same reason it is not our place to take someone else's life, it is not our place to take our own.

You are not your own, you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

There is no scripture that states that suicide is a sin.

People assume the words "thou shall not kill," includes not killing oneself.

The bible does have scriptures where suicide is not looked on as being bad, so it seems "reason" probably plays a part in whether or not it is a sin.

Saul for instance committed suicide.

Well the 10 commandments say You shall not murder. Ex 20:14 And Jesus tells us our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. That should be enough reason not to do such a thing. Judas commited suicide after betraying Jesus...but I don't think the actual word suicide is there. Murder is killing a living being=so if you kill yourself, that is the same act.

I hope you are not considering this. CALL for help now. IT IS THE WRONG CHOICE. There is ALWAYS!!!!! another way out.

Individuals create their own belief systems. However, they sometime use sources like the Bible to justify their personal beliefs. I do not care what the Bible says or doesn't say about suicide. My personal belief is that I have the right to commit suicide because I am an autonomous being.

Personally, I would never decide whether to live or die based on what some old zealots said.

You have a brain. I'm sure you can figure out whether killing yourself is a good or bad thing.

I suppose if I was in constant pain with no hope of ever recovering, then suicide might be an option. Other than that, live is too varied and interesting for me to cut it short. It's already too short as it is.

Even 2 corinithians 11:14 says he can remodel himself into an angel of light. So constrained to a e book, no no longer unavoidably so.. simply by fact God is going previous a e book, he's a spirit, a author. And a snake can purely cover his genuine self for yet see you later.. simply by fact whats at night will constantly come to the sunshine. And he provides us awareness to parent the two: the two sturdy and evil. devil preys on all and sundry... only pray for people who do no longer even know.

Most of the time, suicide is wrong. But sometimes depression is like a disease and cannot be helped. Depression will turn you into someone you're not. My grandfather was a STRONG Christian. He could quote scripture, he went to church, and he loved God with all his heart. But he committed suicide, because a chemical he was working with provoked depression. Sometimes you cannot be blamed, but in Judas' case, you can be blamed.
It is not our duty to judge who's suicide is a sin.

Jehovah as the source of life has decreed that human life is precious, sacred. (Gen. 9:5; Ps. 36:9) Hence, suicide, which means the taking of one’s own life, or killing oneself, is condemned by the Bible. Such intentional act is self-murder. (Ex. 20:13; 1 John 3:15) The few suicides mentioned in the Bible are of those who were unfaithful to Jehovah and who failed to consider that their lives really belonged to God.—1 Sam. 31:4; 2 Sam. 17:5-14, 23; 1 Ki. 16:18; Matt. 27:5.

One who intentionally takes his own life does so in utter disregard for the sacredness of life; he becomes bloodguilty. When one commits suicide while in possession of one’s mental faculties, this shows one to be void of morality, lacking faith, having no fear of God. It is a cowardly act, where one refuses to face up to the problems and responsibilities of life. If the person claimed to be a true Christian, the act would violently break his relationship with Jehovah. Suicide may be the giving in to pressures from demons who encourage self-destruction. (Matt. 17:14-18) This extremely self-centered act of murder manifests no love for one’s surviving family members, no love for one’s congregation and friends, and no love even for the surrounding community, as it brings shame and distress of mind upon all associates.—Mark 12:31.

Thou shall not kill.
Which is different from death. If death were included mother nature would be going to hell.

[[Terry M.]] - Jesus gave his life so in the future we wouldn't have to do such a thing as suicide or sin.
