It's the Garden State, even though I don't think the garden of eden was there, i know that Bruce Springsteen comes from there, so God, even though I can hardly see the beauty thru the smog, I just can't believe you didn't allow me to be from the holy land that is known as "New Jersey"?

For you, ?????VT, I submit my long-lost poem about NJ that I gave to you after reading your "Detroit" submission.

Through the impenetrable traffic
Inching down the Belt Parkway
Up and over the Verazzano
Statue of Liberty staring mutely
On the smog-swallowed horizon
Across Staten Island, the
Land of the free, homey
Come the smokestacks
Lined
Up
One
By
One
And the smell of nuclear waste in the air
God, just this once,
Why can't I be from Jersey?

And, as a woman born and bred in that stinkin' horrible state (I'm sure there are nice areas, I don't care, I hated it), I make you an honorary member! Here, take my birth certificate - please!

GOd has put you where you are or a reason

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
--Jermiah 29:11 NIV.

So instead of being unhappy about where you are, try and loook around for your purpose. Ask God what he'd have you do to help those around you and ask him what his specific plans are for wher you are right now but dont stress if it takes a while for him to answer. GOd's timing is perfect

dont let the whole "not in Jersey" situation bother you too much.

And if a person or a situation is the thing that is bothering you, then pray about it.

The LORD said to him:
"I have heard the prayer and plea you have made before me; I have consecrated this temple, which you have built, by putting my Name there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.
1 Kings 9:3

I hope you actually read this but if you dont then you are the one missing out...

Hope i helped ♥

The northern part of the state, the NJ turnpike near New York City does have alot of refineries and that is how most out of staters picture NJ, you are correct, there also is alot of farmland, hence the name the "garden state"; nothing like a Jersey tomato or corn; we do also have some real nice beaches from Sandy Hook south to Cape May.

Be careful about mocking, we may sic the New Jersey Devil on you ...

They tried giving New Jersey back to the Native Americans, but they didn't want it.

New Jersey is a God forsaken state. Probably the last state I would choose to live other than Alaska.

you could have a"back to the womb" experience, and hire a new birth mother to "birth" you again, only this time, make sure she has the good sense to ACTUALLY BE IN NEW JERSEY.

See? Problem solved.

Ask her if she breast feeds first.

Because the Jersey Girls would have been murderously jealous of your hair. He kept you from Jersey out of kindness.
