I came here as a baby and thus had no choice in the matter, and we came for political not economic reasons. I can tell you this, whether here or there. What you have said is what took place durning your greatgrandpatients time. It was interesting reading how the people from different countries durning that time had their problems but were working together toward one cause.There are alot of people such as you and your family, but they aren't noticed because you are self supported. The troubled people from other countries are the ones that are causing the Anti-Immigrantion at a time that the US doesn't need them in the picture. One thing I must say and that is this is America, talk your different languages, don't change the English to suit your needs. There were people many years ago that came to the US and found a way to live and support the US without making alot of changes to benefit their needs.

I myself have nothing against legal immigrants its the illegal ones that are the problem. Most (99%) of the illegals do not contribute in taxes what they use in social services, meaning health care, schooling, use of public parks, etc... and thats really minor to the damage they do. The worst thing about illegals is that companies can take advantage of them and pay them less than legal citizens and this intern draggs down the wages of everyone in the industry the illegals infiltrate which makes everyone in the U.S. poorer except the upperclasses. Illegals need to stop ruining jobs for everyone go back and improve your country and quit ruining ours.
