This is the little window through which you look out to see the picture. Modern digital cameras now don't have it because you look at the screen, but the old film cameras had it. Is there a specific name for it. Please answer fast.

The viewfinder. Some digicams have an optical viewfinder and all DSLR cameras have a viewfinder. After 36 years of using one I can't imagine not having one.

It is called a Viewfinder.

Many modern Digital cameras do have it. All SLR cameras use a viewfinder though a few models also have live view which allow you to use the LCD.
SLR means Single Lens Reflex you view the shot you are framing through the viewfinder which allows you to look through the photographic lens via a mirror. Generally accepted as a superior process.
