I really think the super religious people are evil deep down. They go to church all the time to try to block out the evilness looming in thier hearts. Then they try to push it on others...seriously can't you just worship what you want to and leave everybody else alone?

Church is like a hospital...its there for the sick at heart...so why would you expect to find different? As for worshipping what you want there is nothing stopping you from doing so...all must choose the fate of their eternal soul and face the consequences and rewards of that thought

I enjoy going to church to feel the presence of God, to be healed and changed within my own heart and attitudes. I just want to be a person that loves people and tries to help rather than push it on others. I know there are those that seem to come off scary, but we are all trying to find our way through life with all our hurts and disappointments. You may have not met some great Christians yet, but they are out there looking for you! lol

Now, aren't we the little judgemental one???!!!

Does anybody else think that avid food eaters are scary?

Why, I knew someone who actually ate three meals a day!!!!

I sure hope YOU don't eat food three times a day, or even once a day for that matter! Perhaps one meal a week should be enough for you.

Then there are restaurants EVERY where I look! They're just trying to push food down my throat (pun intended). Seriously, can't you just eat and leave everybody else alone to starve?

Wow. You're into generalizations aren't you. Next you'll be saying that all people from the middle east are terrorists or something.

Please don't clump me with scary church going super religious people.

I go to church twice a week usually. I have a community of people there who care about me - and me about them. You know nothing about my church.

I don't push my beliefs on anyone. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.

Namaste!! (even when it's not so easy!)

I don't. I think most of them are very good people, who just want to associate with others who share their religion, and worship their/our God with like-minded people. Witches have their covens, Jews have their temples, Christians have their churches/cathedrals, Muslims have their buildings...with every religion, it's the same thing. Church is to learn about one's religion, worship their God (or in the case of pagans/Wiccans, gods and goddesses, and it's not an actual "church" per se), and fellowship.

And many of us DO leave everyone else alone.

I take them one at a time. Some are scary and some, like my best friend, are great people.

It's the quiet ones simmering with anger or cruising fundamentalist churches for a future wife to abuse that scare me. I saw a friend's sister endure ten years of agony.

I know some that go to church that evil to the word 100%, but they are the first to look at you and correct you. i know some who won't even talk to some of their own because they have sinned. Wow thats what it's suppose to be all about, forgiveness.

You must have been wronged by someone posing to be religious and are confused, to the point of generalizing the entire church-going world.

"Do ye an ye will, an ye harm none" !! the Wiccans have that right on....I prefer to adopt what works for me. I actually have a St. Jude medallion hanging in my van--St. Jude, the patron saint of lost causes--and goodness knows I have a few of those in my life!!! Seems to me too many people on here "sweat" the details...
